10 Most Common Mistakes in Mailpiece Design

Save yourself time, money and frustration by learning from other’s mistakes. Carl W Seltz, a Mailpiece Design Analyst located right here in the Twin Cities and serving the Western Area, will be presenting.  Carl has seen it all and he is happy to share his expertise with you.

Carl is a 35 year employee of the USPS, and worked on the processing floor for 26 years, with the last 9 years in the BMEU/Mailing Requirements.  This experience has given him valuable insights into operations and postal standards regarding an array of mailing functions from nonprofits, business mailer support, and customer mailing analytics, to mailpiece design, and has given him a solid foundation in his current position as a Mailpiece Design Analyst.  He’s always looking forward to assisting customers with their business mailing needs, and enjoys being a valuable resource for postal and non-postal customers.

There will be plenty of opportunity for your questions throughout the presentation.  We hope you can join us!

Webinar - Enterprise Payment System (EPS) - Online Permit Creation and Online Fee Payments

The USPS has enhanced the Online Permit Creation functionality with the deployment of EPS. Now mailers can open a permit, link it to an Enterprise Payment Account (EPA), and pay their permit imprint application fee online through the Business Customer Gateway (BCG).  Mailers can also pay most permit fees using their EPA through the BCG. All mailers bringing permit applications to the Business Mail Entry Units should be educated on the new functionality and encouraged to open their permit online.

Once the permit account has been created and associated with an EPS account, mailers can make online payments for mailing and shipping services, manage and view fee details, select fees to be paid and confirm payment activity from the Mailing Services Balance and Fees (PostalOne!) page.

The mailing and shipping fee types noted below are eligible for online payment:

  • Imprint Application Fees

  • FCM Presort

  • USPS Marketing Mail Presort

  • BPM Flats Destination Entry

  • BRM Application Fees

  • BRM Annual Maintenance Fees

  • BRM Bulk Weighted Average Permit Fees

  • BRM Bulk Weighted Average Annual Account Fees

  • BRM Weighted Average Fees
